Viktória Terjéki
Speech Therapist, Licensed Cognitive Neuroscience Researcher, DTTC and PROMPT Therapist

I completed my speech therapy degree at the Bárczi Gusztáv Faculty of Special Education, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). Alongside practical work, I became interested early on in the neurological and cognitive background of speech, so I continued my studies in the Computer Science and Cognitive Neuroscience Master’s programme at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. I am currently completing my doctoral studies at ELTE; my research area is severely unintelligible speech, and within that, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS).

More About Me
I completed my speech therapy degree at the Bárczi Gusztáv Faculty of Special Education, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE).
My professional perspective has been profoundly shaped by my training and professional experience in the United States, where I became acquainted with contemporary diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to childhood apraxia of speech and severely unintelligible speech. In my therapeutic work I apply exclusively scientifically grounded, internationally accepted, evidence-based methods, with particular emphasis on developing speech motor planning and execution.
In my work I engage with every child exclusively through an individual, personalised therapeutic process that is adapted to their current speech motor–phonological development and neurological status. My goal is not merely to correct speech sounds, but to establish stable, intelligible, functional speech. I believe in transparent, collaborative therapy where parents understand exactly what is happening and why, and where the child can develop in a safe, supportive environment.
